Madeline Corse of Delaware County, PA

July 4, 1940 – April 13, 2023

Madeline (Madge) Corse (82) a lifelong resident of Delaware County PA, went peacefully to be home with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on April 13, 2023. Born July 4, 1940 in Media, she was the eldest daughter to Alice and Louis Zuppo.

A devoted mother and “Grandmadge”, Madge is survived by her beloved son, Steve Corse (Janice) and her two beautiful granddaughters, Dana Martin (Damien) and Jackie Chupalio (Tony).

The oldest of four, Madge is survived by sisters Louise Germano and Linda Sachar (Lou). She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Barnard (Bill) and parents Alice and Louis Zuppo. She was also preceded in death by her many cherished pets.

While Madge spent her career as an office manager for State Farm Insurance, happily assisting loyal customers and building long lasting relationships, her true passion was her faith. Madge committed her life to the Lord and made it her life’s purpose to spread His love and faithfulness to all she encountered. A dedicated member of The Blue Church, she lived a life of service, devoting her time to the church to coordinate the morning greeters program, host bible studies, and organize holy communion.

Madge was described by everyone who knew her as warm, welcoming, supportive, dependable, and thoughtful – evidenced by the many wonderful friendships she held throughout the years. Even in her late age, she continued to build close relationships, connecting with all of her neighbors. Spending quality time with her friends and neighbors brought her much joy, especially joining in fellowship and playing cards. Christmas was one of her favorite times, baking a variety of cookies to hand out to everyone she knew. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever ingrained in all of our hearts.

Her legacy will long be felt by her family, friends, and neighbors. A bedrock to her loved ones, she passed along many family traditions that continue to be carried on by her grandchildren. Whether it be her Christmas cookies, “Old Black Joe” cake, her famous spaghetti and meatballs with the not-so-secret meatball ingredient, and New Year’s doughnuts.

A memorial service will take place at Rigby, Harting & Hagan in Media, PA on Wednesday, April 19 beginning with a calling hour at 9:30am and a 10:30am service, interment to follow at Arlington Cemetery in Upper Darby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Blue Church at 940 Baltimore Pike Springfield, PA 19064.

Mom / Grandmadge, we love you more more more!
